Presentations, Collaboration, Creation........

That's what this class was about! We started with our T-shirt presentations. I don't mind at all about presenting, I like being in front of the room. It really helps me practice leading and guiding others through a lesson. Everytime I get up there I try to improve on my guiding the lesson with questions not answers. Sometimes it can be very tricky on figuring out what to say without giving it all away! I must Practice Practice Practice!

The next part of the class was the textbook evaluations. We had a group of four, myself, Faith, Jen and Meagan collaborated together to evaluate a fourth grade textbook, workbook and teacher's edition textbook. We had to comb through the books and go through a check list to get an idea about each. This was frustrating at times due to the fact that the three books we had to work with did not go with one another which made this project very challenging
.
Of course, we got through it as we saw fit and did our best.
The final part contiues at home.....Creation! We now have to take what we did in class and collaborate through Google Docs to create an interactive presentation summarizing our findings.
This will be fun, the four of us have worked well together in the past and I am looking forward to working with them again

  1. I love the pictures you found representing us working together.
I agree with you that it was challenging but this assignment made me think about the textbooks in a different way!
You did very well with your T-shirt presentation and you asked enough questions to help us to find the answers. I gave my answers away too quickly but I think it was because I got excited :)
